The Story
Smells Like Summer Tastes
You know that first sip of iced tea with lemon on a hot afternoon? The kind where the glass sweats in your hand and the citrus cuts through everything? That's this candle.
Place in the Sun smells like earl grey steeped with bergamot, then mixed with grapefruit and strawberries. There's a fizz to it—like champagne bubbles or tonic water over ice. Honey sweetness underneath. Fresh mint at the edges.
It doesn't smell like one thing. It smells like summer tastes. The kind of scent that makes you want to open windows and make plans.
People burn it year-round even though we call it seasonal. Turns out summer doesn't have to end if you don't want it to.
What Makes Our Place in the Sun Soy Candle Special?
- Scent Profile: Earl grey tea, bergamot, honey, grapefruit, strawberry, champagne, fresh mint.
- 100% American-Grown Soy Wax: Soy burns cleaner than paraffin — no black soot on your ceiling, no petrochemicals in the air. Every batch is hand-poured in our Owings Mills, Maryland facility and checked before it ships.
- 30-Hour Burn, 6oz Jelly Jar: Cotton wick, no phthalates, no dyes, no synthetic colors. The jar is reusable — bathroom organizer, desk supplies, overnight oats, whatever needs a small container.
- Shifts as It Burns: Tea when you first light it, fruit when it's been going a while, mint when you blow it out. Most candles smell like one thing. This one doesn't.
Add it to an order heading somewhere warm — or keep it for when you need summer in February.
How to Use: Trim the wick to ¼ inch before the first light. Let the wax melt edge to edge on that first burn — about an hour — to prevent tunneling. Keep individual burns to 1.5 hours maximum and let the candle cool completely before moving it. When roughly ½ inch of wax remains, retire the candle, wash the jar with hot soapy water, and put it to use.
